Tibianic and its History
Are you new to Tibianic? Well I would like to formally welcome you to our community! Tibianic started back in 2009 with an average of around 30 players each day. It has grown exponentially within those 6 years to a community with daily numbers of over 400. So let's get into some basics about Tibianic (Click here for FAQ). See, one of the reasons why Tibianic has grown is because of its staff. When it started out, there were volunteer Game Masters who frequently patrolled the server for cheaters. Then came CM Doyle who were very harsh on cheaters, very little got past him. Through the help of CM Doyle and of course Iryont (the owner of Tibianic) came the anti-bot client. The client detects cheats being used and since its implementation, the number of cheaters being banned purely through client-side detection is in the hundreds easily. Since CM Doyle's retirement, Iryont has recruited the current, CM Madragor (Click here for an interview with CM Madragor). As a newcomer to Tibianic you may see a bot roaming the rats of Rookgaard, or possibly even in the low levels of Mainland, but they don't last long. Wars are now played by hand instead of by programs. Hunting is now done by players instead of scripts. Tibianic is nothing but players.
So it's time to create your character! You can create a character on one of two worlds and you cannot transfer across them once you've started. The two worlds are the Legacy and the Spectrum Worlds. Legacy began in July 2011, while the Spectrum server started on the 20th of December, 2014. The Legacy Server has 2x Skill Rates, Regeneration and Experience while the Spectrum Server has a more standard 1x for all of its rates.
The Referral System was created as a way of rewarding those people who bring players to the server. After all, you're bettering the server, so why not give you a little bonus? So, if someone refers you and then you either purchase a premium rose or hit level 30 then they will be given 7 days of premium!
