New Tutors and Inside look at Andriod Client
So Iryont has finally given Tibianic more tutors! We welcome Verticordia and Smokey to the Tutor team! Unfortunately, they are both on the Legacy Server. Was it the right move? I must admit, I was pretty shocked when I realised neither were on Spectrum although I do believe that changing those two to Tutors was the right move, but let's just mind map it a litlte.
So what is a Tutor? Why did they become Tutors?
A while back, Lortsa made a post on the Gamemaster and Tutor forum board that very quickly was made a sticky thread called "Tutor Guide". This thread was amazing for any new Tutor and pretty much everything is there. The part I will refer to from that thread is What Are Tutors?. Tutors are experienced Tibianic players who know the game and the documentation very well, for example; How to play and the Tibianic Rules. That is such a good definition, but it's not all. They help others to find their way around Tibianic by answering questions and by giving general advice. If you were asked what you would look for in a Tutor, you would probably say an experienced person, very nice or helping out often and that is exactly what these two people are. I personally do not know Smokey, although Verticordia is the nicest player I have ever met. She is - to put it plainly - just an awesome person, someone you would love if emulated with other players.
So why Legacy and not Spectrum?
Well I am totally not Iryont (Or am I?) but there are some very easy answers to this question. The first has already come in the previous paragraph. You need trusted players, people who are not only willing to help out, but trusted to have the Tutor powers. Since Spectrum is quite a new server, you can't really trust anyone on it, only your friends from Legacy or other places. See Legacy has been here for ages and the same goes for those players, they are known across the playerbase as model players and for those reasons can be trusted with said powers. When I started going back to school, I told Iryont that he needed atleast 1 additional Tutor on each server to, in essence cover for me. Although I hadn't looked ahead and thought of any reasons why he couldn't.
What will it take to get a Tutor on Spectrum?
The only possible way to become a Tutor on Tibianic is to be seen. You cannot just be a senior Tutor for Tibia for 6 years, the 5 stars or whatever it is and become a Tutor here. On Tibianic you must be seen as a good person, you must be seen as someone trustworthy, who cares more about others around them than themselves. Yes, there have been problems with this. There have been past Tutors who were not experienced on Tibianic and even had their position removed not too long after receiving it, although there will always be problems. The world is not perfect, there will always be something.

Sorry for all the writing above if you only wanted to come for the Andriod Client! So Iryont has given us yet another picture of the Tibianic Client that is not on PC. This time it is for an Android Client. Although he wasn't showing us because he will be releasing it soon. Nope, he's having troubles! See, in Tibianic you need things such as CTRL, Shift and clicking in order to play (Left/Right click) but that is not what is available on an Android. So if you have some cool idea with the UI for mobile devices, please visit the source (found at the bottom of this page) and post it, otherwise he will remain clueless. Knowing Iryont you will most likely be rewarded quite handsomely!
