Lowered VIP House Costs
Ever wanted a VIP (Custom) House but thought it was too expensive? Well now is the time to buy! Iryont has decreased the prices for several VIP Houses. The amount that they were decreased by varies between each house, but let's take a look at what they used to be and what they have been changed to.
- Chapel; Decreased from 1x Premium House Rose to 1x House Rose
- Happy Home; Decreased from 1x Premium House Rose to 1x house Rose
- The Academy; Decreased from 1x Premium House Rose to 1x House Rose
- Bull's Eye; Decreased from 1x Premium House Rose to 1x House Rose
Edron:
- Sky Lane, Flat 4; Decreased from 1x Premium House Rose to 1x House Rose
Cormaya:
- Cormaya Sanctuary; Decreased from 3x Premium House Roses to 1x Premium House Rose
- White Rose Clanhall; Decreased from 3x Premium House Roses to 1x Premium House Rose
Venore:
- Venore, Smugglers' Hut; Decreased from 1x Premium House Rose to 1x House Rose
Why Did this happen?
Well, it started off with a proposal (here) that brought the issue to Iryont's eyes. After reviewing the prices on the specific area (Calcanea) Iryont decided that indeed that prices were too high and should be lowered to attract players to the island as it is a very pretty place if I say so myself! Although several other houses (as seen above) have been changed as well, but as Iryont has written on the Proposal thread, "I will only lower the price for houses without an owner.". It may not be all that fair as many players have purchased houses for 20 Euros more, while others have purchased houses for 100 Euros more, although the purpose was to attract players to Calcanea as well as give the server a slight boost in terms of funding, so it must be said that it was effective.
Will this have an affect Ingame?
I believe that it will. People will be seeking houses in these areas. A lot of people may not have even known about the island of Calcanea and now that it's in the news and seen as such a good place to go (Primarily for rune makers or trainers) with lowered prices. I predict that ingame, House Roses will start being bought and sold a lot more for the next week or so.
